I used VersaMark ink and generously covered the Dotted Lace Trim and placed it into position on the card front. Then using a clear block I pressed down firmly to transfer the ink. Embossed in gold and there you have it - gold Dotted Lace Trim!
My Very Vanilla card base is 5 x 11.5" scored in half and then layered with a Gold Foil mat and another Very Vanilla mat, both cut 1/8" smaller than the previous one. To finish off, I added a length of the 5/8" Gold Satin Ribbon and a lovely Antique Brad. I like to finish cards inside too, so here's a pic. It uses a matching sentiment from the Big News Stamp Set embossed in gold, the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch from the 2015 Holiday Catalogue and some gold sponging around the edges using Encore Gold Ink (retired).
I love this technique and I hope you like it too. I'd love to see your take on it, so leave me a comment with a link to your project.
